‘Lord, Lord!’
Luke 6:46, "And why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?"
It’s easy to get distracted over the finer points of scripture, wondering about the actual timing of the end times, or where the current events fit into prophecy. This scripture reminds me of the story of the new preacher who preached the same sermon every time until someone finally asked him if he was going to move on; he replied "As soon as you start obeying the truth you know!" As Micah said, "to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God," and as Jesus said, in summing up all the law, "to love God and love your neighbor as yourself." He wants to live within us that others may see something worth living for!
Live in me Holy Spirit, let the light of Christ shine that others may come to know You!
