It is done!

Revelations 21:5-7, And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.”

The promise to us is that He has living water, that He will freely give it to us that we may never thirst again. In Him we are more than conquerers, for He has done what we could never do. He sent His Son and the crowds screamed “Crucify Him!” And Jesus went willingly to the cross, the perfect Lamb of God, willingly accepting the punishment that we would not have to bear it. I know that on my own I will stumble and fall short of the mark. Yet I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me! All I have to do is ask and I will receive His strength and wisdom for today. Will I ask?

I do ask You for strength to overcome, to conquer my temptations, to drink freely of Your spring of the water of life!
