According to the Way.
Acts 10:13-16, Neither can they prove to you what they now bring up against me. But this I confess to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect, I worship the God of our fathers, believing everything laid down by the Law and written in the Prophets, having a hope in God, which these men themselves accept, that there will be a resurrection of both the just and the unjust.
Paul stands before the governor, cheerfully giving his defense, knowing full well that he is not above his Lord, who had also stood before a tribunal falsely accused. He stands confident that God is in control, despite the evil intent of his accusers. How amazing that God uses even the unfair and unjust actions of evil men, just as he did with Joseph, to bring untold blessings upon His own! Are we ready to make a cheerful defense before unjust accusations and accusers?
Give us this same spirit of cheerful confession even when we are in trials!
