Abba, Father!

Galatians 4:4-7, But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

This is the amazing truth of the gospel, Jesus Christ as the Way, the Truth and the Life. Before the cross, all were slaves to sin or else slaves to the law, unable to save themselves. From the cross Jesus proclaimed “It is finished,” and with His death and resurrection opened the new covenant that we who receive Him are sons and daughters, no longer shut up by sin or the law, but heirs. And as such we are adopted into His divine family, with all rights and privileges, the most amazing is to call the Most Holy Almighty God “Daddy!” Have you called him as your daddy today?

We are amazed that in Christ You receive us that we may call you “Abba, Daddy,” most Holy Lord!
