A plot.
Acts 23:12-24, When it was day, the Jews made a plot and bound themselves by an oath neither to eat nor drink till they had killed Paul...
This sounds like a formidable plan, especially considering that there were more than forty conspirators. But against the plans of Almighty God, they must have gotten awfully hungry and thirsty, for Paul’s nephew heard of their plan and it was completely undone, with the able assistance of two Roman centurions! Do we take Jesus at His word, when He tells us to seek and we will find, to seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and all these things shall be added to us? Why worry when we can pray?
We thank You that You are in control, even when we think only the worst; for Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and Your ways higher than ours!
