Alive.

Acts 25:18-19, When the accusers stood up, they brought no charge in his case of such evils as I supposed. Rather they had certain points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a certain Jesus, who was dead, but whom Paul asserted to be alive.

Indeed, that is the issue. The world looks at the cross and cries “foolishness, weakness.” The powers and principalities of this world blind them to truth, and they presume their own wisdom to be invincible. As believers, we know that the wisdom of man is foolishness before that of God, and that at the cross Christ has forever defeated all principalities and powers of this world. Our cry by the wisdom given us in Christ Jesus is that “Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again!” He has done what no mortal could ever do to become sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God!

Open the eyes of the blind; give the deaf ears to hear that You are risen indeed!
