Taught by the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:12-13, Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.
Paul speaks here of the amazing things that God has revealed through His Spirit, the most amazing of all being His love for this world that would not abandon it but sent His only Son that whosoever believes in Him might not perish. Christ came and was willing to become the perfect sacrifice to present us to God as acceptable in His sight, something beyond our imagination. And He has in store even more amazing things to be revealed by His Spirit, and beyond that an amazing new world. For now we see things only dimly, but one day we will see clearly, face to face!
Give us Your wisdom taught by the Spirit and fan our affections for Your into fire, O Lord!
