And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:1-4, When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

They were told by Jesus that they would be baptized in the Holy Spirit “not many days from now,” and we see this wonderful gift of His Spirit enabling them to be witnesses to Him to others in the city each in his own language! God provided this amazing manifestation of His Spirit as a gift to those who heard, delivered by faithful witnesses. He gives good gifts to others and wants to use us as His witnesses as well. His gifts are provided in each situation, in His own creative way. Am I willing to be used as His witness to bring His word to others by the power of His Spirit?

Fill me with the power of Your Spirit who gives good gifts that we get to deliver to others in Your name, Lord!
