His hour had not yet come.

John 7:30-31, So they were seeking to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come. Yet many of the people believed in him. They said, “When the Christ appears, will he do more signs than this man has done?”

We see God’s sovereign plan in operation over and over, as Jesus fulfills his father’s plan and escapes threats because his “hour had not yet come.” His purpose was clear in bringing glory to the father. Amazingly we have this same power, to fulfill our heavenly father’s plans and purposes. Are we willing to be used to accomplish his will by the power he has given us?
