Watch yourselves.

Luke 21:34-36, “But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

It’s easy to be swept up in the cares of the world especially at this time of the year. He calls us to be careful with our time and attention, to keep our eyes on Jesus, to spend time with those we love and to pursue the true treasure. There’s so much more when we take the time to listen for his still, small voice as we go about our day. Why not take time to reflect on these verses, and to pray that he will open our eyes to the possibilities?

Open our eyes to your possibilities in these special days to come in the next weeks!
