The Son of Man coming in a cloud.

Luke 21:25-28, “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

While we don’t know the time of Jesus’ return, we do know that there will be signs. Just as we can look at the sky and tell that a weather change is coming, so we will be able to see the signs as his time draws near. He is coming soon, each day brings his return one day closer. We are not called to go out and stand on a hilltop somewhere and wait, we are called to his purpose today, right where he has us. How exciting is that, to be used by the Lord in his mighty plan, right were we are today?

Open our eyes to see those people where you use us to bring your light into the world; use our hands to be your hands, let us hear with your ears and see with your eyes. Give us wisdom to accomplish your purpose today, O Lord!
