The kingdom of God.
Luke 17:20-21, Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”
The prevailing model of a kingdom was that it had to be in some geographical place, and the temple likewise. The kingdom of God is not like that, it is within us. By his power we are his temple, and he now lives within us! What an amazing thing to consider and to live out. Am I allowing him to live within me, allowing his light to shine, allowing him to let his kingdom come?
“Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in heaven as it is on earth,” O Lord!
