Mustard seed.
Luke 17:5-6, The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
We think that faith must be like temporal power, that we need more of it to accomplish something. But the power doesn’t come by our own strength, in fact faith itself is a gift of God! The power of a tiny seed can be seen in the mountains, where it takes root and over time can split open a boulder. But a tiny amount faith is even more powerful, for it brings the unlimited power of God into situations that are beyond any mortal hope. Do we recognize the power that we have available as we allow God to move through our mustard seed faith?
We thank you that what is impossible for man is possible by you O Lord!
