Believe in your heart.

Romans 10:6-10, But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down) or “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is too simple for the natural mind. We want to do something to prove our worth; the word tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, not because of what we have done because of our inherited nature. We know that you are not very far from everyone of us, and that you call us to a new life in Christ. The good news is that Christ has done what we could never do and when we believe that he is Lord he justifies us. And as we go forth from that justified confessing his name, we walk in his salvation to do his will forever!

Jesus, we thank you that you have done it all; our part is that we have sinned and fall short, and you have rejoiced over us and called us to your new life that we may worship you as Lord!
