This present darkness.
Ephesians 6:12-13, For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
Jesus commands us to love our enemies, and to pray for those who persecute you. Humanly this is not possible; humanly we want to fight back and hurt those who hurt us. Only when we have this knowledge of things behind the scene does our world make sense. There are unseen spiritual forces at work, but he has given us power and we need not wage war “according to the flesh.” He has given us divine power to destroy strongholds; let us begin with our own hearts, “taking every thought captive to obey Christ!”
Bring your conviction to every thought that needs your light today and give us your power destroy any strongholds.
