The grace of Christ.
Galatians 1:6-7, I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
There are many who distort the gospel of Christ, some for personal gain, some out of ignorance. “Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.” The good news comes to us by the sovereign call of God: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God;” today if you hear his voice, you can come to him! He gently speaks to us: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” His peace comes not as the world gives peace, but by the power of his Holy Spirit whom he freely gives to those who ask. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Have you received him and asked for the gift of his Holy Spirit whom he gives to those who ask him?
Thank you for the peace that passes understanding; use us as your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus “for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
