He who used to persecute.

Galatians 1:23-24, They only were hearing it said, “He who used to persecute us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” And they glorified God because of me.

Paul classified himself elsewhere as “chief of all sinners.” He presided over the stoning of Stephen, the first martyr, and was pursuing early believers as far away as Damascus with murderous intent when he was caught up short by the risen Lord Jesus Christ. There are those who may think that they have gone beyond the amazing grace of God; Paul would not agree with them! He was saved by grace, through faith and that not of himself, it was the gift of God not of works so that he might not be caught up with pride in himself. Give thanks for the great revelation of God that has brought us his good news in Jesus Christ!

We thank you for your grace through faith, for rescuing us into your kingdom of light!
