Grant us.

Mark 10:37, And they said to him, “Grant us to sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your glory.”

Jesus has just told of his impending mocking, torture, death and resurrection and this what two of his closest disciples were thinking about: their own glory! How easy it is for us to be consumed by our own desires and miss what he is saying to us. Are we listening to him today?

Grant us ears to hear your voice; stir our affections for you as we listen.
