Little ones.

Mark 9:42, “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.”

We are to “turn and become like little children” to enter the kingdom of heaven, serving in humility. That’s not a popular idea these days! Jesus took a little child, not given much importance in his time, as his example of humility. And he also warns about misleading or despising these little ones, whose “angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” How can we apply childlike wonder today?

Give us childlike wonder of all that you have for us today!
