Receive the kingdom of God like a child.
Mark 10:13-16, And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.
Children are called dependents because of their may needs. In the kingdom of God, we too are needy and dependent and like infants cry out, not always know how dependent we are or what we really need. Jesus is the one who is able to take us in his arms and bless us even when we don’t know what we need. “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”
We give thanks that we can always come to you as needy people; fill us with the knowledge of your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding that your grace may overflow to the good works you have given us that we may walk in them!
