“The food that endures to eternal life.”

John 6:27-29, “Do not labor for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.” Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

We like to know what to do; the very idea of work is from God right from the start, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion.” Jesus had people following Him simply because of the miraculous feeding of the five-thousand. He wants us to look to Him not for what He can do for us but for who He is. He asks only we believe in Him whom God has sent, and He will bring forth His fruit and multiply it!

Thank You for the gift of faith; increase our faith today that we may multiply and bring forth Your fruit!
