Worship in spirit and truth.
John 4:24-26, God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.”
Jesus moved the conversation in a direction that surprised the woman by asking her to call her husband to come to the well! She calls Him a prophet by what He tells her but He is far more than that, and He reveals Himself to her as Messiah, the fulfillment of the promise to Abraham, the Christ. And He calls us to worship in spirit and in truth!
We worship You O Lord!
