And they believed.
John 2:22, When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.
Jesus made the astonishing declaration: “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up” in reference to His own body. And while on the cross, there were those who threw that statement up in His face! Yet three days later, He rose. It’s wonderful to know that the disciples didn’t have to understand everything, that there were things that they could not bear at that time. And it’s also wonderful to know that He has given us the Spirit of truth to guide us into all truth!
We thank You that we don’t need to understand everything and that You have sent Your Spirit of truth to guide us!
