Whose house we are.

Hebrews 3:4-9, For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. Now Moses was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later; but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end. Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says,“TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME, AS IN THE DAY OF TRIAL IN THE WILDERNESS,WHERE YOUR FATHERS TRIED ME BY TESTING ME, AND SAW MY WORKS FOR FORTY YEARS.”

We are all building something, and scripture encourages us to build wisely as if upon a foundation that cannot be shaken. Are we building with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw? What will the test of fire reveal? Is He directing the master plan or are we imaging that we are in charge? “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.” How exciting that when we put our confidence in Him, He uses us in building His house!

We boast in You until the end; use us in building Your House for Your glory, Lord.
