By the grace of God.
Hebrews 2:9-10, But we do see Him who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.
This is not a plan that any man could conceive. Jesus humbled Himself and came to “taste death for everyone.” In the eyes of the world, humility and suffering are a sign of weakness. In God’s eyes humility and suffering faithful even unto death are a sign of His amazing grace. He gave His life on the cross to bring us into His glory. He could have returned from the dead and revealed Himself to be the King of all the earth immediately and who could resist seeing His amazing glory? Instead, He wants us to carry the good news of His great salvation to the world today.
Lord, let us not neglect so great a salvation; use us today to carry Your good news to people who desperately need Your good news!
