Speak thy word with all confidence.

Acts 4:29-31, “And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Thy bond-servants may speak Thy word with all confidence, while Thou dost extend Thy hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Thy holy servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak the word of God with boldness.

The threats were real, and yet God used the very people who cried out to crucify Him. He softened the hearts of the people that they might receive Him, and the leaders were afraid of the people. We can pray this same prayer, to receive His confidence that His name may receive all the glory.

We know that it’s all about You, Your divine purpose and Your power; give us boldness to speak Your word with confidence!
