"Brethren, what shall we do?"

Acts 2:37, Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall we do?"

We see that Peter has proven the scripture that the word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword, "piercing as far as the division of the soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the intentions of the heart." Their hearts were pierced with the clear presentation of the One whom we have pierced. Piercing is of value only when we then ask the wonderful question: "Brethren, what shall we do?"

What indeed shall we do when we are convicted by Your Holy Spirit? Lead and guide us out of Your conviction into Your steps, O Lord!
