The word of the cross.

1 Corinthians 1:18, For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Even the early church had disagreements and factions; it’s nothing new in our age. We see the divisions are according to various leaders some naming only Christ Himself. Paul makes it very clear that our unity comes from Him and from His cross, seen only as foolishness to the world, but saving us. How easy it is to forget what is really important, that Christ went to that cross for each of us and set us free!

We thank You that we are saved not by following an earthly leader, but by what You did on the cross!
