So that you may not grow weary and lose heart.

Hebrews 12:3, For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart.

The author has some very specific ideas for us to engage this great gift of salvation, to take it even more seriously than we take some of our hobbies. As we keep our eyes, on Jesus, we are reminded of the intense, undeserved hostility that He faced; most of us will have never seen anything like this. And we are also reminded of all that He has done for us! He is the one who looked beyond the cross to the “joy set before Him.” And He invites us in!

Fill us with the joy that only You can give, that others may come to know You, Lord Jesus!
