Our citizenship is in heaven.

Philippians 3:20, For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

Even though our citizenship is in heaven, it is very easy to be distracted by the cares of this world. With nightly news to remind us of terrible things not only in our own country but all over the world, we could easily become discouraged. He has set heaven in our hearts, and gives us ample opportunity every day to draw near to Him, to serve others, to listen to someone, to reach out a helping hand. And one day we will indeed be transformed by His mighty power!

Keep us focused on You, and on Your next step for us in our walk of faith, Lord Jesus!
