The form of this world is passing away.

1 Corinthians 7:29-31, But this I say, brethren, the time has been shortened, so that from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none; and those who weep, as though they did not weep; and those who rejoice, as though they did not rejoice; and those who buy, as though they did not possess; and those who use the world, as though they did not make full use of it; for the form of this world is passing away.

Paul uses this as an opportunity to teach us all that time is short, that we have a mission to accomplish. He urges us to remain focused on the Lord, and on His purposes in every situation. Things that are considered important by the world are only used to accomplish His eternal purpose, and we who belong to Him are privileged to be a part of it!

Use me in Your purposes today, to bring glory to Your name, Lord Jesus!
