Each man has his own gift from God.

1 Corinthians 7:7, Yet I wish that all men were even as I myself am. However, each man has his own gift from God, one in this manner, and another in that.

Paul has great encouragement for those who are single. It seems that our culture and especially our church culture elevates marriage and puts down those who are single. Paul was realistic about the fact that not all can maintain the focus on ministry that he had, and that some really do need to be married. We have found that in our own ministry our lives complement each other, and together we are more than two people. Are we really using the great gifts that He has given us to bring glory to His name?

Thank You for the good gifts that You have given us, that we may be a blessing to others and bring glory to Your Holy name.
