Do not worry about it.
1 Corinthians 7:20-23, Let each man remain in that condition in which he was called. Were you called while a slave? Do not worry about it; but if you are able also to become free, rather do that. For he who was called in the Lord while a slave, is the Lord’s freedman; likewise he who was called while free, is Christ’s slave. You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men.
We put a lot of value on freedom, living in “the home of the brave and the land of the free.” Paul recognizes that value, but weighs it against a higher principle: resting in the Lord. He tells us that in his own walk he has learned to be content with much or with little and that his real satisfaction comes from walking in the way of Jesus. Do we invest our time in worry, or in seeking to walk in the paths He sets out for us?
Thank You for guiding my steps today, Lord Jesus!
