Mockers will come.

1 Peter 3:3-4, Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation."

This certainly is a fit description of our times, mockers are everywhere, some even proclaiming themselves as gods of their own universe. It reminds me of the words throughout the book of Judges, "each one did what was right in his own eyes." As we continue to reap the fruit of this thinking in our culture, let us look for opportunities to offer another idea that "Christ died for our sins, that He was buried, and that He was raised up on the third day, according to the scriptures." Peter goes on to remind us that it is not because God is slow in bring forth His promises, but that He is patient towards us "not wishing any to perish."

Give us Your view of others, that we may tell them of Christ crucified, buried and raised for our sins; let Your power flow through us to a sin sick world!
