Gird your minds for action.

1 Peter 1:13, Therefore, gird your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Certainly prayer is important, we see all throughout the Gospels how prayer was interwoven completely with Jesus' life. Peter reminds us that there is a purpose for every one of us, that we need to be ready for action! He reminds us to take our calling in Christ seriously; for we who have put our complete hope in Him have a purpose and a mission. Let's remember to be ready for action as we pray.

Lord, bring us to those whose lives You want to touch; give us Your wisdom how best to reach them with Your good news!
