You were unwilling.

Matthew 23:37, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling."

Even though Jesus knew that He would be one of those killed, His love is evident. Even though He wanted to gather them, they were unwilling. When I examine myself in His light, I have to look for these areas of unwillingness, and ask Him to help me!

We thank You for Your love for us, open my eyes to any areas where I am unwilling to be gathered to You; change my heart, O God.
