“Follow Me.”
Mark 1:16-18, And as He was going along by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net in the sea; for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men." And they immediately left the nets and followed Him.
It’s humbling to read of this, and to see the immediate commitment of these who were first called by Jesus. Certainly it shows us the truth of scripture, that He knew His own, and they heard His voice and followed. We who have put our trust in Him can be encouraged that when He calls, He enables us to hear and follow!
We thank You that we can put all of our trust in You, leaning not on our own understanding, O Lord.
