His fullness.
John 1:16, For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.
We know that Jesus was full of grace and truth, and we also know our great lack of those properties without Him. Even when we come to know Him, we are often aware of our need for more of what He has for us. John writes of receiving “His fullness,” something that I know that I desperately need. Fortunately, we have His promise that He is always ready to grant us His life-giving Holy Spirit in every situation we might face.
Lord, I need Your fullness, Your grace upon grace. We thank You for Your mercies that are new every morning!
