We will come to him, and make Our abode with him.
John 14:23, Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him."
We have His word, we are blessed by His word through scripture and the testimony of those who love Him. Our challenge daily is to be "doers of His word," not merely those who have knowledge of His word. One of my teachers compared it to the college model of lecture and lab, we study and learn, and then have an opportunity to apply that knowledge. The best part is that we don’t have to know everything, for He has given us His Holy Spirit to teach us. And even when we don’t do everything that we know, we know that His love for us never changes.
We thank You for Your mercies that are new every morning, for knowing You, for the opportunities we have today to keep Your word!
