They will not listen to you.

Jeremiah 7:27-28, "And you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you; and you shall call to them, but they will not answer you. And you shall say to them, 'This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the LORD their God or accept correction; truth has perished and has been cut off from their mouth.'"

We have a responsibility, not to make people listen, but to speak the truth. We see those who are bold in speaking the truth ridiculed in our own society, called 'intolerant' or worse. We see in scripture what happened to the nation that would not listen, let us pray that His word will be heard and find fertile ground in our own day.

Help us to be faithful in what You call us to do, to carry Your light, and not to be discouraged when others don’t listen.
