"Thus the last shall be first and the first last"
Isaiah 2:17-18, And the pride of man will be humbled, and the loftiness of men will be abased, And the LORD alone will be exalted in that day. But the idols will completely vanish.
Our Lord Jesus Christ introduced a new economy, for He came as a suffering servant, and He encourages us to follow Him. He encourages us to take the last seat at the banquet, and to remember that on the night He was betrayed, He took the task of the lowliest servant and washed His disciple's feet. Our whole culture encourages us to achieve, to climb to the top; He wants us to look for ways to lead others in service.
Open my eyes to ways that I might serve others to exalt Your name, Lord.
