Teach us Your ways, O Lord!

Isaiah 2:2-4, Now it will come about that in the last days, the mountain of the house of the LORD will be established as the chief of the mountains, and will be raised above the hills; and all the nations will stream to it. And many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; that He may teach us concerning His ways, and that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And He will judge between the nations, and will render decisions for many peoples; and they will hammer their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, and never again will they learn war.

We read of the great revivals of the past, wherein the arrival of a preacher would bring the spirit of God into a town without a word being spoken, the Holy Spirit moving and working. There are so many astonishing promises in these few verses that we must fall to our knees, asking the Lord to bring revival. For indeed we see justice perverted by judges, decisions that are godless and selfish and ever more effective swords and spears, nations rising up against nations. And yet we also see the promises, for people hungry to learn of the Lord, and for the root cause of injustice and war to be vanquished forever, under our mighty King!

Come, Lord Jesus, bring revival in our day; begin with my own prayer life that I may be faithful to intercede for those You love.
