He gave His only Son.
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Jesus had to explain His purpose and presence in our sin-sick world to one of Israel’s spiritual leaders and we have this wonderful explanation of how it is possible for us to be born again. In Christ we are new creatures, the new has come, the old has gone. God was not willing to abandon us, and to as many as receive Him He has given eternal life. He has done what we could never do, that we may have eternal life!
We thank You for loving us, for saving us, for sending us Your only Son.
