He Himself knew what was in man.

John 2:23-25, Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing. But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.

Jesus was not seduced by the power of success, when many believed in His name because of the signs that He was doing. He knew the truth, that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. And He also knew who He is, the way, the truth and the life and that He had come for one purpose, to be the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Have we trusted in man or in Him?

We trust in You, O Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
