Walk in the light.

1 John 1:7-10, But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Our pastor puts it like this, it’s OK not to be OK, but its not OK to pretend to be OK and lie about it! Jesus is the light of the world, the one who knows us better than we know ourselves. The good news is that as we get closer to Him, we have more light and we see more clearly the sin that separates us. He doesn’t want us to hide as Adam did in the garden, but to come fully into His light, confessing our sins. We have His promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us no matter what we have done and that He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Am I seeking more of His light that I may confess all that it reveals?

Reveal those sins that we need to confess that we may walk in Your light daily, Lord!
