A stumbling block.

Romans 8:13-14, Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself, but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean.

In the context, we all are going to give an account to God. As we are saved by grace through faith, we have a redeemer and when we do sin and confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So we are to “take the log out of your own eye before removing a splinter from your brother’s.” And we know that God revealed to Peter that He no food was unclean. But when it comes to opinions about what foods to eat and what to drink, we are not to abuse our own freedom in such a way that it hurts the faith of another believer. Do I know others well enough to respect their beliefs?

We thank You for our freedom in Christ; give us insight into the beliefs of other believers!
