Rivers of living water.

John 7:37-39, On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ ” Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Jesus had told the woman at the well that those who drink of his water will never thirst again, and that his water would become a spring of water welling up to eternal life. He promises us abundant life, and we are the beneficiaries of this wonderful promise. He has give us, and whoever believes in him, the gift of his Holy Spirit, the wellspring of living water. Are we allowing his living water to flow in our lives today?

Let your spirit flow forth in streams of living water that bring your abundant life to those around us!
