“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.”

Matthew 6:9b, “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.”

How wonderful that we are not required to “heap up empty phrases” when we pray, and that we can actually call upon the God who created the universe as our Father! How amazing is it that he already knows our needs even before we ask him, and yet he still wants to talk with us. How wonderful that everyone who asks receives, and that when we seek we find, and as we knock the door is opened. And how amazing that no matter where we are or what is happening that we are able to “pray without ceasing,” knowing that our Father gives good gifts, “the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

We ask you for your good gifts today, for we need your Holy Spirit and his marvelous gifts!
