Take courage.
Acts 22:11, The following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage, for as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must testify also in Rome.”
Paul has been assaulted by his own brothers, and had vile accusations against him. He has been wrongly accused before a council of the religious leaders, and even physically struck in violation of their own laws. And violence has threatened his life to the extent that the tribune has taken him into his own barracks for protection! Yet Paul is given this assurance from the Lord that all is well, and that he will have the opportunity to testify of his faith in Jesus Christ in Rome as he has done in Jerusalem. We can put our trust in the same Lord that finishes what he begins!
We thank you that you who have begun a good work in us will be faithful to complete it!
