Held accountable.
Romans 3:19-20, Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
There is no one of the lineage of Adam who has ever perfectly kept the law, and no one ever will; there is one who perfectly kept the law as Son of God, Jesus Christ. The only response for us before a Holy God is silence by the standards of the law! Paul calls the law a schoolmaster, its purpose to show us our own sin and our great need for God’s amazing grace. We are saved by faith through grace, and even that faith is not of ourselves, it is the gift of our amazing God, given to us through Christ Jesus! “He who had no sin became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God.”
We thank you for your amazing grace and receive your gift offered through Christ Jesus that when you look at us you see Him!
